In recent years, the lightning accidents of power grid show more and more characteristics of short-term concentrated outbreak, and with the high proportion of photovoltaic grid connected under the influence of lightning weather conditions, it has the characteristics of randomness and large fluctuation steepness, which poses a great challenge to the flexibility of power grid. In this paper, the adverse characteristics of photovoltaic power fluctuations in the lightning weather conditions are transformed into favorable information. The photovoltaic power station is used as the monitoring system of thunderstorm, and the mathematical model of multi-point monitoring data is established to realize the tracking and prediction of thunderstorm. This paper proposes a method to extract the characteristics of the irradiance data of photovoltaic power station under the condition of lightning. By analyzing a large number of historical data, the characteristics of the influence of thunderstorm on the irradiance of photovoltaic power station are summarized, which is defined as the characteristics of lightning irradiance, so as to realize the function of photovoltaic power station to locate the lightning cloud. According to the different number of lightning location points, different mathematical models are established to track and predict the track and position of Thunderstorm in the future.
