Purpose/Aim


In order to reduce the bird dropping tripping accident caused by the bird dropping of the transmission line drainage line and ensure the safety of power transmission, it is necessary to conduct insulation treatment for the drainage line of the current running corner tower. However, the drainage line after insulation treatment still has surface flashover phenomenon, and the flashover process is easy to develop to the angle steel of the tower connection, resulting in the damage of the angle steel and the failure of the drainage line. In order to improve the insulation level of insulation drainage line and ground wire or tower, reduce the probability of bird dropping flashover. This paper mainly studies the effectiveness of the terminal parameters of the insulation drainage line to suppress the flashover probability of bird manure.


Experimental/Modeling methods


In order to improve the insulation level of insulation drainage line and ground wire or tower, reduce the probability of bird flashover. Using COMSOL finite element simulation software, the three-dimensional simulation model of the electric field of the insulation drainage line and the insulation terminal head is established.


Results/discussion


Insulation drainage line with umbrella skirt can effectively improve the drainage line creepage, can greatly increase the creepage distance. At the same time, the umbrella skirt spacing has a great influence on the distribution of the insulation drainage line and the creepage distance. The umbrella skirt material determines the electric field distribution and insulation strength of the insulation drainage line, and the umbrella skirt inclination has little influence on the insulation drainage line.


Conclusions


1) Bird damage easily occurs in the area where the tangent tower and edge phase, because it remaining area is large. Bird damage easily occurs in the early morning, because the early morning is a time of bird activity and defecation. bird damage tripping accident caused great harm to the operating environment of the grading ring and the drainage line.

2) The lowest electric field strength of surface of drainage line can be obtained when epoxy resin is selected as terminal material. However, from the perspective of insulation strength, the protective effect of silicone rubber is better, and the electric field distribution of epoxy resin and silicone rubber is similar. Therefore, silicone rubber can be selected as the material of terminal head.

3) When the shed spacing is 50 mm, the electric field distribution of the insulation drainage line is reasonable, and the creepage distance of the insulation drainage line can be increased at the same distance. The influence of the shed angle on the insulation drainage line is limited, but in general, the electric field distribution of the shed is reasonable when the shed angle is between 5° and 15°.
