RESEARCH ON NON TRANSIENT SWITCHING OF CAPACITOR BANK BASED ON ELECTROMECHANICAL HYBRID SWITCH

When the capacitor is switched on, the main problem is that the residual current is not allowed to be switched on or closed, but it is often caused by the non switching of the capacitor. And pre breakdown and other inevitable problems are difficult to overcome by phase selection. In this paper, a new electromechanical hybrid switch is proposed to replace the general vacuum switch. Combined with the phase selection switching technology, the capacitor bank is switched for reactive power compensation to solve these problems, especially when the capacitor bank has residual voltage. Through theoretical analysis and simulation, the appropriate switching strategy is obtained to realize the non transient switching of the capacitor bank, The transient process when switching capacitor banks is avoided.
