On the saturated conductance region of resistive field grading materials

Resistive field grading materials (RFGMs) with nonlinear electrical conductivity is promising in solving locally intensified electric field because of it self-adaptive, versatile and adjustable properties. According to the conductance theory, current through Schottky barriers should exhibit a pronounced saturation regime. However, few literature has reported this phenomenon in the composite materials. The purpose of this work is to explain the mechanism for the absence of saturation regime in the conventional RFGMs.
