The long-chain branching modification method provides a feasible idea for solving the problems of high conductivity loss and low breakdown strength of polypropylene under high temperature and strong field. In the process of preparing long-chain branched polypropylene by melt extrusion, initiators are used to initiate free radical polymerization reactions. In this paper, by adding different amounts of initiators to control the microstructure of long-chain branching, the focus is on the influence of the amount of initiator added on the electrical properties of the film, aiming to find the optimal solution for the modification of long-chain branching.

By comparing the dielectric properties of long-chain branched polypropylene with different microstructures under high temperature conditions, the nature of the influence of the modification of the long-chain branching of the film on the carrier transport process and breakdown characteristics is revealed. The purpose of this study is to provide a reference for solving the problem of film dielectric performance degradation under high temperature and strong field.
