Epoxy resin has good adhesion, chemical and thermal stability and low shrinkage and other excellent properties, which is widely used in coatings, electronic packaging materials and adhesives and many other aspects. However, the cured epoxy resin is usually brittle, fatigue resistance and impact resistance can hardly meet the needs of some special engineering technologies with the development of power systems to high voltage and large capacity, the amount of heat generated of the equipment increases sharply, causing insulation degradation of the resin. Considering the low thermal conductivity of epoxy resins, the appearance of liquid crystal Epoxy provides a thought for the high thermal conductivity and heat resistance of epoxy resin. In this paper, a preparation method of thermal conductive liquid crystal epoxy resin filled with CNF/BNNSs was studied. Biphenyl liquid crystal epoxy resin was used as a matrix, BNNSs were thermal conductive fillers, and cellulose nanofibers were used to increase the dispersibility of BNNSs and construct heat conduction channel. Which not only improves the toughness of general epoxy, but also has a certain application foreground in the high thermal conductivity material, and the anisotropic ordered structure of the cross-linking network of liquid crystal molecule promotes the conduction of phonon, thus greatly improving the thermal conductivity of epoxy resin.
