活动简介

The Gordon Research Seminar on Stem Cells and Cancer is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

Mechanisms that drive normal development and regeneration are often deregulated in cancer. Thus, an understanding of signals that regulate stem cell self-renewal and differentiation has clear implications on malignant growth. In this meeting, we will explore genetic, epigenetic, molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate the growth of normal and malignant stem cells. We will also explore novel approaches to targeting cancer progression and metastasis, such as immunotherapy and inhibiting cancer-niche interactions.
