Computing and information technologies play increasing roles in advanced research and applications in biomedical engineering. This event, 2016 International Symposium on Biomedical and Information Engineering (IS-BMIE), provides a forum to present current research in, but not limited to, computational biology, bioelectronics, medical imaging, healthcare Internet of things, and deep learning for bioinformatics and health informatics. The symposium program consists of keynote presentations, invited presentations, and a parallel student poster sessions. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to submit research posters in biomedical and information engineering
