The 5th International Conference on Metal-Organic Frameworks & Open Framework Compounds (MOF2016) is the premier conference focused on open framework materials, which represent a fast-growing new field of chemistry. The excitement and interest in these materials is clear from the explosion of papers in the scientific literature—open framework-related papers are among the most highly cited in recent years.

MOF2016 follows four very successful bi-annual conferences, most recently in Kobe, Japan, and will encompass metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), and recent additions to the field of nanoporous materials, such as molecular cage compounds.

An important aspect of the conference is its interdisciplinary nature, bringing together chemists, chemical engineers, physicists and materials scientists. Invited lectures by both established researchers from across the globe and new people who are making recent and novel contributions will be presented.
