Over hundreds of thousands of years, Nature has developed products, materials, and processes to solve many problems we are confronted with. Humans have taken advantage of some of these models and systems for the purpose of solving their problems in a more sustainable way. Therefore, taking inspiration from nature, we can engineer artificial materials, which bring new solutions for industry, environment, medicine and many other fields. There are many bioinspired applications among which there are the gecko type, the japan’s shinkansen train and the WhalePower wind turbine.
The scientific and international N.I.C.E Conferences, which means “Nature Inspires, Chemistry Engineers”, are organized with the objective to share new developments in the growing field of bioinspired chemistry and materials and to understand the new challenges for the future.
This conference involves chemistry, biology and physics and gives a multi-disciplinary overview of biomimetic approach to engineer new materials and systems.
Among the topics discussed in the conference, there are: green chemistry, nanomaterials, renewable energy, stimuli-responsive, adhesive/anti-adhesive, functional polymers, biobased chemistry and materials, grouped in three main sessions: SmartTech, NanoTech and BioTech.
The conference takes place every two years in Nice (France) and gathers together researchers, managers, manufacturer and decision-makers with different background, in order to exchange ideas, to discuss problems and to develop new ideas and collaborations for finding solution to problems without compromising the natural eco-system for current and future generations.
The scientific program covers all disciplines in the field of materials and is organized in 3 main sessions: SmartTech,NanoTech and BioTech.
