We are pleased to announce that the 15th International conference on molecule-based magnets:ICMM2016 will be held in Sendai, Japan. Since the start of ICMM in 1989 in Dallas, the study of molecule-based magnets has expanded into a huge multidisciplinary research area involving large numbers of chemists, physicists, and biologists. Japanese societies have been contributing extensively to the research field, including the first pure-organic radical magnets and studies of d-π systems. Thus, we are assembling experts in the many areas of molecular magnetism from around the world to participate in the fourth ICMM in Japan and to discuss the latest topics concerning molecule-based magnets in the 21st century.
ICMM is the largest conference related to the molecule-based magnets. We anticipate fruitful discussions on the latest topics during several plenary, keynote, and invited lectures and poster presentations. In addition, there will be pre- and post-conferences for young researchers :“Rising Star Symposium” and senior researchers.
Sendai, the venue for ICMM, is the largest city in the northeast part of Japan. At the seaside, Matsushima bay is known as one of the most beautiful views in Japan. There are many famous temples in the mountains, including the world heritage site Hiraizumi. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Sendai and showing you the beauty of northeastern Japan.
