On behalf of the Manawatu Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry (NZIC) we cordially invite you to participate in NZIC-16, the national chemistry conference in Queenstown.
The conference will be held in the Queenstown, New Zealand at the Millennium Hotel from 21st to 24th August 2016. It is the latest in a series of biennial conferences celebrating chemistry in New Zealand and showcasing research from around the globe. The program includes plenary lectures from Donna Blackmond, Sam Kean, Peter Schwerdtfeger and Peter Stang and will include keynote lectures, invited presentations and poster sessions. The broad range of chemistry covered in the conference will be attractive to all chemists from academia, industry and will be particularly informative for student delegates. NZIC-16 follows the successful NZIC Wellington 2015 conference but will be the first to be held off campus since NZIC 2006 in Rotorua.
NZIC-16 will be held in Queenstown, which sits on the shores of Lake Wakatipu and is overlooked by the stunning Southern Alps. Queenstown highlights all that New Zealand has to offer from beautiful scenery to adventure sports and fine dining. Participants will have the opportunity to ski, enjoy a cosmopolitan town or sample the vineyards of Central Otago.
