In conjunction with the 8th International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks from July 5 to 7, 2016 in Vienna, Austria.
"Recently, the scarcity of spectrum resource has been heavily issued as evolution of wireless communication technologies. In order to overcome this problem so as not to occur communication blackout, both academic and regulatory bodies have mainly focused on how to realize dynamic spectrum access and stabilize the usage of limited frequency resources. Towards, Cognitive radio communications and networks have been highlighted and considered as enabling solutions fulfilling the requirements for opportunistic dynamic access of either unutilized licensed or unlicensed spectrum with intelligent negotiation capability. This workshop is held to bring researchers together in academia and industry to share their new solutions to cognitive radio communications and networks.
The workshop focuses on topics related to cognitive radio communications and networks, which include, but are not limited to
Dynamic spectrum access protocols
Interference analysis and measurement
Interference management
Spectrum sensing
Geolocation database for spectrum
Information-theoretic aspects of cognitive radio
PHY and MAC design for cognitive radio networks
Spectrum sharing and coexistence
Cross-layer optimization
Network and radio architecture
Implementation issues
Simulation study, prototypes, and filed tests
Applications of cognitive radio networks
Security issues
Regulation and standardization
