It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 21st International Symposium on Surfactants in Solution (SIS), which will be held in Jinan, China, during June 5-11, 2016.

The SIS conference will provide an ideal forum to stimulate ideas and establish collaborations as well as to initiate fruitful discussions on the diverse topics in surfactants and colloid science, ranging from biocolloids to nanostructured interfaces, from self-assembled materials to formulations.

After the recent symposia in Edmonton (2012) and Coimbra (2014), the SIS comes for the first time to Jinan, China, which is located approximately 1.5 hours by Express train south of Beijing and 5 hours by Express train north of Shanghai, is a friendly cultural city and is the capital of Shandong Province with an outstanding historical heritage. Jinan possesses a special geographical feature, which is a blend of mountains, springs, lakes, and rivers. It has gained the good name of “Spring City” because the bubbling water from 72 famous springs enhances the city’s atmosphere. We are looking forward to hosting you in Jinan in June 2016 and to make SIS2016 a memorable scientific and cultural experience.
