"After a very succesful meeting on "Mesozoic and Cenozoic carbonates of the Neo-Tethys: old and new concepts for petroleum exploration" held in Naples in 2014 it is now time to regroup and share new data and ideas on the best ways to explore for carbonate plays and to improve the exploitation of carbonate reservoirs.
It is now time to focus on the processes that make carbonate rocks extraordinary complex and challenging but also incredibly rich for hydrocarbons exploration and production.
You are invited to join us on this meeting that will be an unique experience to share experience on new approaches, new tools and new ways of integrating geological and geophysical information with the aim of reducing the uncertainties related to the characterization and modeling of carbonate sequences and reservoirs."
1. Carbonate depositional environments and facies architecture
2. Carbonate diagenesis and its impact on reservoir quality
3. Factors controlling the characteristics of fracture networks in carbonate reservoirs.
4. Petrophysic and pore network characteristics of carbonate rocks
5. Integrated reservoir modelling of carbonate reservoirs
6. Case studies on carbonate sequences and reservoirs
7. Facies and stratigraphy of Mesozoic and Tertiary Carbonates of the Tethys
8. Source rocks in carbonate settings
9. Carbonate play types in the Mediterranean region
10. Carbonates in thrust-belt settings
11. Mixed carbonate/clastic systems
12. Structural controls on facies and reservoir performance
