The 2016 Gordon Conference on Two Dimensional Electronics Beyond Graphene will present cutting-edge research addressing the fundamental properties and potential uses of ultrathin layered systems with a fundamental band gap including transition metal dichalcogenides, group V systems including phosphorene, and related isoelectronic structures. Interdisciplinary research driven by experimentalists and theorists in the fields of Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science and Device Engineering contributes to the unprecedented growth in this area.
