The Gordon Research Conference on Colloidal, Macromolecular, and Polyelectrolyte Solutions presents the frontiers of research on solution properties of charged, macromolecular and colloidal systems and their interfaces. The 2016 conference will build upon a strong interdisciplinary tradition of drawing together materials scientists, soft-matter and complex fluids physicists, engineers, chemists, biophysicists, and biochemists and will showcase cutting edge research from academic, industrial, and government laboratory settings. The program highlights the exciting and fast growing areas of colloidal, macromolecular and polyelectrolyte solutions and their impact on materials design, self-assembly and nanostructures. The 2016 conference will emphasize the translation of static and dynamic bio-inspired mechanisms to new colloidal and macromolecular solution behaviors. In addition to talks and discussions, poster sessions will provide an additional mechanism for presentation and discussion of the work of conference participants; participants are strongly encouraged to present a poster and should contact the vice chair(s) for details. For the second time, a Gordon Research Seminar will be held during the weekend preceding the GRC. This is primarily intended for PhD students and post-docs in this field.
