Over the past 10 years, horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing techniques have been evolved to optimize production. During this time, completion and fracture design have changed significantly with the trend towards larger jobs and tighter fracture spacing to maximize stimulated rock volume, estimated ultimate recovery, and improve financial margins.
