On behalf of the organizing committee and the Zoological Society of Japan (ZSJ),we welcome all of you to the Joint meeting of the 22nd International Congress of Zoology (ICZ) & the 87th meeting of the ZSJ, which will be held 15 - 19 November, 2016 in Okinawa, a paradise island in the most southwest area of Japan.

ICZ has a long history that dates back to 1889 (Paris) and is now being organized by the International Society of Zoological Sciences (ISZS). ZSJ, which was founded in 1878 and has an even longer history, is one of the largest communities of zoological sciences in the world (2,700 academic members). ZSJ recently decided to host ICZ in Okinawa and the meeting will be held jointly with our regular annual meeting of ZSJ.
We really hope that you will find the joint meeting attractive and mark the date on the calendar now.
The registration will start sometime in early 2016.
