The 16th Experiments in Chaotic and Complex Dynamical Systems Conference (ECC 2021) will be held during Friday through Monday, August 13-15, 2021, in Xi’an, China. After previous edition of ECC: 1991 (Crystal City – USA), 1993 (Crystal City – USA), 1995 (Edinburgh - Scotland), 1997 (Boca Raton – USA), 1999 (Orlando - USA), 2001 (Potsdam – Germany), 2002 (San Diego - USA), 2004 (Florence – Italy), 2006 (São José dos Campos - Brazil), 2008 (Catania, Italy), 2010 (Lille, France), 2012 (Ann Arbor - Michigan), 2014 (Aberdeen - Scotland), 2016 (Banff - Canada), 2018 (Madrid - Spain), the 16th edition of ECC will be in Xi’an - China, and encompasses experimental, as well as theoretical, aspects of nonlinear and complex science, with particular emphasis on their interdisciplinary applications not only in engineering and medicine but also in physical, environmental and social sciences.

Xi’an, which was called Chang’an in ancient times, is the starting point of the Silk Road. Xi’an is the capital of 13 ancient dynasties, with a history of more than 3100 years.  As one of the top seven regional central cities of China, Xi’an is a center of innovation, knowledge and technology in Asia and functions as the manufacturing base of large aircraft in China. The city has become the largest central city along the Chinese section of the new Eurasia Land Bridge across the Yellow River basin and the most important base of scientific research, education and industry in mid-western China.

Excellent papers will be published a special collection of SCI journals after post-conference processing. The conference will select the best student paper and best poster paper with awards.
