The IPS-22 Conference will be held in Hefei, China from July 29 to August 3, 2018, jointly hosted by North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), Tianjin University, and Hefei institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). 

As a fast-developing country, the transformation of the nation’s energy consumption towards the renewable energy sources is one of the major challenges facing the Chinese society for the upcoming decades. The rapid development of solar cell industry in China provides an extensive race field for new technology and novel approach. Every two years, the IPS conference series offers a versatile platform to discuss the latest advances in renewable energy research and to enhance the regional and international collaborations. Since 1974, the first meeting of IPS took place in Boston, the IPS conference series has been held in more than 20 cities around the world, attracted 600-800 attendees each year. In 2018, 26 years after the previous IPS-1992 conference in Beijing, the IPS torch will be passed back on China. The IPS-22 will welcome scientists, engineers, and practitioners from all over the world with open arms and a whole new look. The target of IPS-22 is to spark new insights and ideas as well as to promote research cooperation and foster new collaborations and partnerships between academia and industry. More than a unique opportunity to embrace the five thousand years’ rich history and culture, amazing landscape and cuisines, the IPS-22 will offer attendees a close touch with the most active science and technology hub in central China.
