The Gordon Research Seminar on Atherosclerosis is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
The overarching goal is to provide a forum for leading and emerging scientists to interact informally, discuss the latest discoveries and ideas, and to provide an overview of current research themes in the atherosclerosis field. We aim to provide a platform for young investigators to interact and represent their latest research in a peer-to-peer environment that also includes for the first time career training elements. We expect discussion about novel data on atherogenesis pathways, such as endothelial dysfunction, imbalanced lipid metabolism and clearance, innate immune memory, maladaptive immune responses and the interplay between inflammation and plaque complication.
