This year we changed the official long name of CogSIMA from the IEEE International Multi-Disciplinary Conference on Cognitive Methods in Situation Awareness and Decision Support. We are still the still the same conference, with the same goals and objectives that have been developed in the first 5 years of the workshop and the last 6 years of the conference. Out intention in changing the name was to better communicate those goals and objectives to the larger community.
The CogSIMA conference series provides an annual venue for presenting multi-disciplinary research on complex heterogeneous dynamical systems – of interacting humans, machines, computer agents and/or networks – whose individual and/or collective behavior depends on their situation awareness.

CogSIMA conferences are aimed at researchers and practitioners from academia, industry and government, with a wide variety of backgrounds and experience including computer science, human factors, cognitive science, modeling & simulation, robotics, and systems engineering.
