The Gordon Research Seminar in Glial Biology brings together young investigators from all fields of glial research to present and discuss their most recent discoveries for the 24 hours leading up to the Gordon Research Conference in Glial Biology 2017.
The overall aim of this seminar is to provide a forum for exchanging unpublished discoveries, unsolved issues, and new methods at the forefront of glial biology in health and disease. The scientific goal is to improve the understanding of the functional role of glia in the nervous system by focusing on topics such as, but not limited to, glial regulation of synapse formation and maturation as well as neuron and glial-glial interactions and heterogeneity. All participants will have the opportunity to present their work via poster presentations, and platform presentations will be chosen from abstracts of unpublished stories submitted by select trainees.
