For many, the election of Mauricio Macri as President of Argentina in 2015 symbolized what they hope was the beginning—the beginning of the end of years of economic and political uncertainty in the country. But where is Argentina now? This interdisciplinary Faculty Seminar hosted by IES Abroad will examine the current state of Argentina—and, to a great extent, the entire Southern Cone—from social, political, and economic perspectives.
The seminar invites specialists from the Social Sciences and Humanities with research interests in contemporary Argentina and South America. The seminar will bring together specialists from the United States and South America.
