活动简介

The Subject Division Applied Inorganic Chemistry of ProcessNet (an initiative of DECHEMA - Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and VDI-GVC - Division Chemical and Process Engineering of the Association of German Engineers), cordially invites you to the 26th ATC 2017.

The ATC-conference derives its name from the German phrase “Angewandte Technische Chemie”, which stands for applied inorganic chemistry in a technical or industrial context. The main goal of the ATC-conference is to generate and foster contact between members from academic organisations and industry in applied and application oriented research in the wide field of inorganic chemistry. During the last 25 years this conference has become the highly acknowledged forum for these exchanges. We expect a high percentage of decision-makers.

The lecture programme gives scientific sound and comprehensive insights into application potentials of substances, products or processes together with an understanding of possible pitfalls during the transfer from research to production. The focus of the lectures thus is put on new products, methods and technologies as well as future oriented applications of either well known or newly developed inorganic substances.

This year’s conference focuses on the topics Materials for fuel-cell technology, Heterogeneous catalysts free of precious metals, Modern methods in chemical analysis and Glass as innovative material for high-tech applications. The plenary talk will be held by Prof. Hubert Gasteiger, TU München. This year's winner of the Otto Roelen Medal of the German Catalysis Society Prof. Peter Strasser from TU Berlin gives a talk on "Nanostructured catalyst materials for PEM fuel cells". Furthermore we welcome speakers from Daimler, Umicore, BASF and Heraeus.

The first day traditionally is closed by a talk on a specialized field of inorganic chemistry. At the 26th ATC 2017 Prof. Harald Krug of Empa, St. Gallen, will give a lecture on "Nanomaterials hoax scientists: nanosafety research on the right track?" Afterwards we will have a poster party with a poster award.

Traditionally, the participation of (advanced) undergraduate and graduate students is fostered through granting reduced entry fares. University teachers also are allowed to bring in one graduate student for free.
