The Molecular Electronics and Bioelectronics Division of the Japan Society of Applied Physics has continued the organization of the biannual International Conference on Molecular Electronics and Bioelectronics (M&BE9) since its inception in 2001. The first conference was held at Awaji Island, Japan in 2001, and the 2nd to 5th and 7th conferences were in Tokyo, in 2003, 2005, 2007, 5th conference was in Miyazaki in 2009, and 7th conference was in Fukuoka in 2013. The 6th meeting in Sendai in 2011 was unfortunately cancelled for all oral/poster presentation program by the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake. The last meeting was held on Funabori in Tokyo, in 2015. We are delighted to announce that we are organizing the 9th international conference in Kanazawa, Japan, in the forthcoming June 2017.
Recent progress in every aspects of science and technology related with electronics and photonics using organic molecules, polymers, and bio-related materials will be discussed at M&BE9. Topics on basic studies such as fabrication and characterization of thin films, interfacial phenomena, spectroscopy, and single-molecule manipulations, as well as application-oriented studies, related to LEDs, FETs, solar cells, memory devices, biochips, biosensors and so on, are all included. A limited number of plenary and invited lectures by oversea-guest speakers, as well as domestic guest speakers, will be arranged. Contributed papers will be presented in both oral and poster sessions.
You are cordially invited to join this exciting conference, M&BE9. Especially, the attendance of young and motivated researchers from Asian countries is highly encouraged. The conference is expected to provide excellent opportunities for sharing ideas, stimulating discussions, and information exchange for scientists.
