Recent advances in network technologies led to increases in their performance which are not yet fully leveraged by big-data analytics applications. In URoute '16 , we will focus on realigning these two areas, particularly addressing the increase in flexibility: big-data analytics applications may be further customized by employing such technologies as Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
URoute'16 will provide the international research community with a venue to discuss and present the network requirements of big-data applications and to bring forward new designs that meet such requirements. We encourage contributions that analyze a large variety of big-data applications from a network perspective to understand how they may take full advantage of modern networks.
