Quantum Gases Conference is a series focused biannual workshop on cold atom physics since 2010. It is sponsored by the Institute for Advanced Study of Tsinghua University. Quantum Gases 2016 is organized by Hui Zhai and Tin-Lun Ho, and will be held onAug 22-24, 2016 in campus of Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. Ultracold atomic gases are ideal systems to study non-equilibrium physics. The physical problems includes both near equilibrium transport processes and problems such as thermalization far from equilibrium. These topics have received lots of attentions in the past a few years, in particular, due to the experimental technique developments of realizing quantum gases in different geometries, the quantum gas microscope and quantum gases in cavity. This conference aims at bringing together world-leading experts on these topics to discuss the most profound issues in the non-equilibrium physics that can be studied with ultracold atomic gases, and how these new techniques can help us to understand these issues better.
The topics will include (but are not limited to):
Transport and dynamics of strongly interacting Fermi gases
Many-body localization
Critical dynamics and thermalization
Ultracold atomic gases in cavity
