The China-Japan Symposium on Materials for Advanced Energy Systems and Fission and Fusion Engineering is an important chance for bilateral academic exchange on the areas of advanced materials, technologies and related issues for fission and fusion systems including ITER. The symposium was initiated in 1993 in Hefei, China, and is held alternately in China and Japan every two years. Following the success of the last symposium (JCS-12) which was held at Shizuoka by Shizuoka University and NIFS, the 13th symposium (CJS-13) will be held at Hefei, China, back to its cradle after 23 years. The symposium will be organized by Institute of Nuclear Energy Safety Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (INEST) · FDS Team. It covers all the related research fields such as system and design, blanket and first wall technology, fission and fusion materials and technologies, irradiation damage, and modeling and database, etc. Though named as the China-Japan Symposium, participants from other countries are also welcome. In addition, the participants are invited to submit abstracts and manuscripts for this symposium. Accepted manuscrip-ts will be published in a special issue of the famous SCI journal “Fusion Engineering and Design”.
The topics will include but are not limited to:
1. Reactor System and Design
2. Blanket & PFM Technology
3. Fission/Fussion Materials and Technologies
4. Radiation Effects
5. Simulation, Database and Modeling
6. ITER Related Issues
