证据科学（Evidence Science），是综合运用自然科学和社会科学方法，研究证据采集、鉴定技术以及案件事实认定和法律适用之一般规律的科学理论和方法体系。证据科学在实现法治和司法公正中具有不可替代的作用，并且具有越来越广泛的社会公共服务前景。 为了促进证据科学的国际学术交流和跨学科研究，证据科学教育部重点实验室（中国政法大学证据科学研究院）于2007年9月成功举办了第一届证据理论与科学国际研讨会。第二届证据理论与科学国际研讨会拟于2009年7月25日（周六）～26日（周日） 在中国北京举办。 Evidence Science employs the methods of natural and social sciences to explore the general principles underlining the scientific theory and methodological system in relation to the research of evidence, in particular, the collection, authentication and identification of evidence, and fact finding and application of law in legal proceedings. Evidence Science is critical to achieve rule of law and fair trial and thus has a bright future in providing social services to the public. For the purpose of furthering international and interdisciplinary exchanges in Evidence Science, the Key Laboratory of Evidence Science of the Ministry of Education (The Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, China University of Political Science and Law) convened the 1st International Conference on Evidence Law and Forensic Science in September 2007 with great success. For the same purpose, to facilitate further exchange, the Key Laboratory plans to hold the 2nd Conference on July 25-26 (Saturday and Sunday), 2009 in Beijing.
