XV International Symposium "Problems of Redundancy in Information and Control Systems" is the conference that covers a wide area of aspects of information and communication systems. It will be held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia in 26-29 September 2016.
The main goal of the Symposium foundation is reinforcement of cooperation between the representatives of various scientific schools, a possibility for the participants to get awareness of the latest scientific and technical achievements and sharing their experience with colleagues.
The Symposium on redundancy in the information systems has a rich history. The first Symposium was initiated by professor N.A. Zheleznov in 1964 and covered a wide range of topics disclosing the problems of analysis and synthesis of the systems, having structural, logical and functional redundancy. There were 13 symposiums held in the period from 1964 till 2012, among the participants of which were hundreds of specialists in information theory, coding theory, system and communication networks, automatic control systems, computer science and mathematic simulation. The Symposium was initiated as interdisciplinary, aimed at the interaction of ideas between various branches of informatics.
