活动简介

We are pleased to announce a conference on Process Safety and Big Data, jointly sponsored by the Center for Chemical Process Safety [CCPS] and European Process Safety Center [EPSC], in October 2016.

We believe that the subject of Big Data, in relation to Process Safety, is an emerging subject and can deliver exceptional value to our key stakeholders. The purpose of this event is to provide a common platform to bring together our key stakeholders - industries, academia, governmental regulatory agencies and labor organizations, to lead the way in improving industrial process safety and achieving process safety excellence.

We are inviting the practitioners of both Process Safety and Big Data to submit their abstracts, by 30 June 2016, for this unique conference and advance the Big Data and Process Safety opportunity. The conference will be held at the DECHEMA-House in Frankfurt am Main, Germany from October 5-6, 2016. The abstract should offer a brief [less than 200 words] account of the contents, conclusions, and the relevance to the topic area.

  • Big Data, what is it and why it is important for the Process Industry?

  • Big Data application for Stable Operation

  • Big Data application to Process Optimization or Improving Plant Reliability and Integrity.

  • Big Data application to Leading and Lagging Metrics and improving Process Safety Performance

  • Hazard Risk Assessment and Audits improvements using Big Data

  • Improving the investigation of process safety incidents using Big Data

  • Preventing Human Error in Process Safety by implementing Big Data Sources

  • Combining data (not only ‘big’ data) from different ‘silos’ for the purpose of predictive indicators of Process Safety and Plant Reliability

  • Using data from Distributed Control Systems, Maintenance, Inspections, small incidents, etc. to promote process safety and operating excellence
