Welcome to the 2016 Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society- Asia Pacific Meeting (TERMIS-AP 2016), in Tamsui Township near Taipei city, Taiwan from September 3rd to September 6th, 2016.

The efforts of the past organizing committees and scientific committees have successfully established TERMIS-AP as the premier conference for the leading community of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine technologies. The objective of this international conference is to provide an open discussion for researchers, either from academia, healthcare or industry, to share their experiences and achievements.

The main theme of TERMIS-AP 2016 is "Personalized Medicine through Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine" consisting of various sub-themes including basic & translational researches and clinical trials of biomaterials, nanotechnology, stem cells, cell therapy, tissue engineering and advanced therapy medicinal products to provide a comprehensive coverage of diverse topics on current regenerative medicine. It will be a great honor for us to welcome you to the TERMIS-AP 2016.

Many people have kindly helped us to prepare and organize the TERMIS-AP 2016. We would like to thank especially organizing committee and scientific committee, and International Advisory Board for their advices and support to make possible organization of TERMIS-AP 2016. Finally, we encourage and thank the authors who submit high quality abstracts and reviewers who will evaluate the abstracts.

Tamsui is a reminiscent town with culture and history. Visitors are able to stroll along the old street, the castle and temples here, taste traditional foods and famous snacks; to take a look and seek for interesting stuffs or special souvenirs from stores to stores. This beautiful small town, embracing river, sea and mountain, is located at the terminal station of MRT Tamsui line. Due to its ideal location, this town becomes a popular leisure spot for families and couples on holidays. Also, the TERMIS-AP 2016 is hosted in the Fisherman's Wharf, a famous spot with beautiful ocean view in this area.
