活动简介

Welcome to the website of the 2017 edition of EuCAP, the 11th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, owned by the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP), organised each year since 2006, which has become over the years a major and referenced event in the area of antennas and propagation and now attracts a wide audience from all continents.

From its early times, EuCAP has been created in order to foster the meeting and cross-fertilization between academia, research centres and industry. To that aim, tools such as application tracks, industrial workshops, technical tours and above all a large exhibition have been implemented, in narrow association with the conference.

Another tradition is the coexistence of regular sessions (oral, poster) and convened sessions, the latter being constructed in order to focus their contents on special topics defined in advance. This allows ensuring a proper representation of the active community in these sessions and a good "state of the art" coverage of the topic.

Top level experts from around the world will be invited to give plenary keynote speeches or invited semi-plenary talks. In addition, the conference will comprise scientific workshops, included in the scientific program but organized separately, and short courses allowing young or experienced researchers to quickly grasp the essentials of a topic new to them.

Further enrichments in the conference "instruments", such as best paper awards and grants, allow to distinguish specially meriting contributions.

Although antennas and propagation may seem a well established, not to say an old, scientific domain, it is actually a very lively and multidisciplinary one, mixing the deepest electromagnetic theoretical aspects, mathematical signal and data processing methods, physics of devices and physics of fields, software developments and technological fabrication aspects. Numerous topics did not exist a few years ago, and the large number of possible applications generate multiple outcomes of e.g. novel antenna design and propagation modeling approaches.

Past EuCAP participants (since many come and come back and come back again !) will notice a few differences with past editions. Indeed, EuCAP is well alive ! Each new edition benefits from the previous ones and from messages from the community, committee members, presenters, authors, exhibitors etc.

We hope that EuCAP 2017 will be as successful as the previous editions, or more. Paris has been the location of important historical milestones in antennas and wireless propagation. The venue is an excellent place for such a large conference and should satisfy all participants, even the most demanding.

Before concluding, we wish to highlight that EuCAP 2017 is coming fast ! The conference will take place earlier than usual and the submission deadline is on Sept. 23, 2016. Thus, if you wish to submit a paper, start to think of it and submit in time !

We hope to see you in Paris in March 2017 and look forward to your participation.
