Session Chair: Roberto Minerva (Telecom Italia, Italia)

Future challenges for Industry, future directions for Academia: What should be the main topics for research in the forthcoming years?

Impact of disrupting actors and technologies, e.g.

  • New organizational models (e.g. DevOps, agility…),
  • New ecosystems,
  • Market structure, multi-sided business competition, value chain,
  • Regulatory stakes,
  • Future of standardization, open source models…

Future of mass market, e.g.

  • New needs of individuals,
  • Who care about privacy?
  • Future of universal telephony…

Future of enterprise market, e.g.

  • New needs of corporations, future of IT departments, servitization,
  • BYOD, IT consumerization, IT governance,
  • Collaboration and Enterprise Social Systems (ESS),
  • Evolution of networking needs, security and privacy…

Demo Track (short papers)

ICIN 2016 invites proposals for research prototypes and demonstrations on all the topics from tracks A, B, C and D. Prospective contributors are expected to write a short paper proposal, preferably including a system architecture illustration.
