The General and Technical Program Chairs and Organizing Committee of the 2016 3rd International Conference on Electronic Design (ICED 2016) are delighted to announce that ICED 2016 will be held in Phuket, Thailand from August 11 and 12, 2016. ICED is organised by School of Microelectronics Engineering and School of Computer Communication Engineering, University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) in collaboration with Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Prince of Songkla University (PSU).
ICED 2016 is a sequel to successfully held conference in 2008 and 2014. It aims to provide a platform to Professionals, Researchers, Academicians and Industry personals to share their new research findings. It is also a platform to showcase and generate interest in cutting-edge applications, challenges and future trends in the area of Electronics and Computer Applications for Internet of Things (IoTs).
Internet of Things has already started interacting with the living and non-living things in the world nowadays due to multi-fold development in the area of electronics and computers. IoTs, which have the capabilities to sense and control remotely using existing network structure, has created opportunities for more direct integration between the real and virtual world leading to improved efficiency, accuracy and higher economic benefits.ICED 2016 will mainly focus on future technologies of Internet of Things, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), green technology, electronic circuit design, nanotechnology, mobile and wireless technology, wireless sensor networks, system on chip, embedded computing technologies and related areas.
ICED 2008 was held in Penang in December 2008 in which 150 research papers were presented and the Proceedings was included in IEEE Xplore. ICED 2014 was also held in Penang in August 2014 and more than 100 papers were presented in the conference. Selected papers were published in Scopus indexed ARPN Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences. All presented papers have been published in IEEE Explorer. Both ICED 2008 and ICED 2014 were sponsored by IEEE Malaysia Section.

There are many daily flights from Bangkok, as well as direct air links with Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and Europe. Alternatively, there are overnight bus services from Bangkok. Resort hotels generally offer shuttle bus services into Phuket Town, and also have taxi and car hire facilities. Jeeps and motorbikes can be hired from various shops in Phuket and at the main beaches. Boats to Phi Phi and other offshore islands depart from various points and arrangements are easily made through your hotel travel counter.
