活动简介

Geologists, geophysicists and engineers working in the exploration and production of fractured hydrocarbon plays. Participants should have a basic knowledge of Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) modelling and constructing 3D geological models using modern software packages. The course will provide the attendees with a working knowledge and an understanding of using the geological history of a region to predict and model natural fractures in software.

征稿范围

By the end of the course participants will have a good understanding of the:

  1. Theory of using strain and stress information to predict fracture patterns and the response of fractures through time.
  2. Relationship and classification of fractures to geological structures.
  3. Documentation of conceptual models for definition of a fracture recipe.
  4. Creation of static and dynamic attributes from 3-D kinematic models.
  5. Characterization of fracture sets with in the fracture recipe with DFN input parameter.
  6. Selection of the fractures sets for modelling.
  7. Analysis of the response of pre-existing fault and fracture systems to a given stress field.
  8. Validation of models through statistical analysis of fracture data.
  9. Techniques and methodologies for documentation and quantifying of uncertainty in modeling.
