The 2016 Gordon Research Conference on Noble Metal Nanoparticles will strive to provide the same level of cutting-edge science and technology discussions that have made the previous three Noble Metal Nanoparticles conferences so successful. Speakers and Discussion Leaders will be drawn from chemistry, physics, materials science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering and more; there will be a mix of experimentalists and theoreticians. Participation by younger scientists is encouraged, especially through the related Gordon Research Seminar. Lively discussions that cut across multiple fields and inclusion of participants from diverse backgrounds are major goals of the Conference Chair. The Conference will feature a wide range of topics based on previous Conference feedback, including mesoscale assembly; crystal growth; advances in imaging; electrochemistry and catalysis; plasmonics; biomedical and electronic applications of noble metal nanoparticles. Selected poster presenters will be invited to give short talks on the last full day of the Conference. The atmosphere of this Conference will be coordinated to provide as many opportunities as possible for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, to create avenues for scientists and engineers from different disciplines to brainstorm and discuss. A great emphasis will be placed on the presentation and discussion of unpublished, novel, and exciting results.
