The IEEE CloudNA 2015 will be a one-day workshop and will include a keynote speech. The workshop will bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners from academia, industry and government to discuss and advance the state-of-the-art research and practice in the emerging area of cloud-based networks and applications. All submissions will be peer reviewed. Accepted papers will be included in the IEEE LCN 2015 proceedings and published in IEEE Xplore. SCOPE This workshop solicits unpublished research work related to the latest challenges, technologies, solutions and techniques pertaining to networking within the cloud datacenter and to the efficient and effective cloud deployment and hosting of the various emerging applications and services. The SLO requirements and end-to-end performance of cloud-hosted applications and services can be highly impacted by the underlying networking technologies and architectures adopted within the datacenter. Moreover, co-located services and the cloud network utilization can highly impact the performance of new services and applications to be deployed and provisioned. Effective solutions related to the placement, sizing, bursting, and migration of compute, storage, and data resources within the cloud network(s) become critical to the deployment of elastic and agile applications.
