With the increasing of data, we face many new problems in industry and in our daily life. New data mining and machine learning techniques can help us discover high-quality knowledge from data. Cloud computing techniques can support complex knowledge discovery jobs by managing processing the large-scale data efficiently. The theme of IIMM this year will be ‘How data make our daily life and industry intelligent’. Of particular interest are novel methods for discovering knowledge from large-scale data and novel designs for applying data intelligence. However, papers on all aspects of the data management, data mining, machine learning, and cloud computing will be solicited.
