Nowadays, model-based software production technologies are widely accepted and applied in the most diverse domains. Generally speaking, Model-Driven Development (MDD) paradigm is centered on the automatic generation of software systems by means of model transformations. Thus, the MDD paradigm presents several advantages regarding traditional software developments. For instance, MDD reduces the programming and sofware configuration efforts as well as the technical complexity involved, sofware products are consistent with documentation artifacts, software verification can be performed at early development stages, etc. These advantages have motivated the emergence of several modeling proposals and MDD tools related to different application domains and stages of the development cycle. In such MDD context, quality of conceptual models is of paramount importance since it directly influences the quality of the final software systems. Therefore, new techniques are necessary to evaluate the conceptual models and predict some characteristics of the generated products. Furthermore, the management of MDD projects has to be adapted to take into account that programming effort is being replaced by a modelling effort at an earlier stage. Thus, measurement in MDD projects is necessary to support adequately estimation and control of this kind of projects. Thus, the main goal of this workshop is to provide methods, procedures, techniques or tools that allow the measurement and the evaluation of the quality of conceptual models in a MDD environment.
