It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to participate in the International Conference on Physics Education ICPE 2015, to be held at the Friendship Hotel, Beijing, China, on August 10-14, 2015. The Conference on Physics Education is an international event held every year, under the auspices of Commission C14 of International Union of Pure & Applied Physics (IUPAP). The main objective is the exchange of scientific information and views among the members of the international scientific community in the general field of Physics Education. The general focus of this conference is Engaging Students in Physics – Research and Practice. Following its tradition, ICPE 2015 will consist of invited talks and keynotes on relevant Physics Education topics, given by prominent representatives of the field, as well as oral, poster, workshop and symposium contributions in the different areas. We hope that many concrete examples of what has really led to successful teaching and learning will be presented. Also, we look forward to sharing more general ideas and thought-provoking visions. In fact, all relevant contributions, theoretical or empirical, will be equally welcomed. China is a big country of education, with 24 million college students and 94 million students in secondary schools. There are a huge amount of physics teachers in China. Meanwhile, they crave for the acquisition of teaching ideas and experience from counterparts around the world, and are also eager to show the state of physics education in China to the whole world.
