Exploiting coherence properties of light together with quantum-mechanical matter interferences in order to steer a quantum system to a desired target or dynamical behavior lies at the heart of Quantum Control of Light and Matter. While original ideas were developed in the physical-chemistry community, the field of quantum control has grown well beyond its traditional boundaries, and we are witnessing a tremendous cross-fertilization to neighboring "quantum technologies" in terms of both experimental techniques and theoretical developments. Examples range from NMR and non-linear spectroscopy to ultra-cold quantum matter, and from atto-second science to high-fidelity quantum information processing, including quantum coherence and entanglement in complex systems. The goal of this conference is to bring together theorists and experimentalists pushing the frontiers of this diverse field. In particular, recent experimental and theoretical results will be discussed, including: Coherent control of atomic, molecular and optical systems Quantum control of open and complex quantum systems, optimal and robust quantum control techniques Relevant ultrafast, multidimensional, and nonlinear techniques Quantum control applications to quantum information and quantum metrology The conference program is designed to reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the field, with emphasis on emerging directions and perspectives for future developments. Poster sessions are an essential and traditionally very lively part of the Conference on Quantum Control of Light and Matter. Every participant is encouraged to present highlights from her or his most recent work, preferentially yet unpublished.
