CySWater 2015 will be held as part of the CPS Week 2015, which will take place at Seattle, WA, USA on 13th-17th April 2015. Optimized management of Water Networks, comprised of large networks of storage tanks, valves, pumps, and pipes that transport potable water across extended areas, is considered a critical aspect of smart urban environments. ICT in general, and Cyber-Physical Systems in particular, can act as the cornerstone of truly pervasive and fast-responsive intelligent architectures, tailored to the specific needs of Smart Water Networks. Driven by the engineering and societal challenges, the objective of CySWater 2015 is to bring together researchers and engineers from the fields of Communications, Networking, Processing, and Learning and practitioners from the Water Industry to both share their experiences, as well as formulate novel CPS paradigms that are tailored to the needs of Smart Water Management. Emphasis will be given to CPS-based approaches targeted at the optimization of water treatment and distribution for urban centers, promoting early-warning, situation awareness and actionable intelligence.
