It is expected that in the next decade mobile devices will become the primary device for accessing the internet and conducting personal and company businesses. Most analysts predict that the number of mobile devices will exceed the population of the world soon. Currently, we are witnessing the proliferation and acceptance of "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) and "Bring Your Own Application" (BYOA) in organisations. As the mobile devices consolidate their top position, they will hold sensitive and personally identifiable information. The presence of this information and the usage of the mobile devices to access enterprise application will attract attackers. Therefore, it is important for the security and forensics of mobile devices to be well understood. The need for proper mobile devices forensic investigations is growing every day as new methods, technologies, and reasons for investigations are discovered. This workshop will bring together researchers and industry participants who are involved either in the design, development, and implementation of novel security and forensics solutions. We expect the work that will be presented in this workshop to address security and forensics problems and suggest solutions that can be used in the future mobile devices landscape. The security and forensics issues in mobile devices that will be presented and discussed in this workshop are becoming increasingly important. These issues will also have significant effect in other emerging application areas such as cloud computing and big data. We, therefore, welcome original, high-quality research contributions that advance the state-of-the-art in the design, development, deployment, evaluation and understanding of security and forensics in mobile devices.
