Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Russia), Intercollege (Cyprus), Mediterranean Institute of Applied Sciences (Cyprus) will organise an international conference "Engineering & Telecommunications - En&T 2014» in Moscow/Dolgoprudny 26 - 28 November 2014. The conference is supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, IEEE and IEEE Computer Society. Conference En & T-2014 is included in complex of actions carried out by the European Commission and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in within the initiative «EU-Russia Year of Science 2014». The conference holds in the year of the 120th anniversary of the birth of one of the founders of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, the great Russian scientist and Nobel Prize winner Peter Kapitsa. Scientific activity of Kapitsa is the exemplar of international cooperation. He successfully worked in Cambridge in one of the most famous universities in England, was elected elected a member of the Royal Society. On his return to Russia Kapitsa was elected to the Academy of Sciences. He put a lot of effort to Russian science was among the most advanced in the world. Our conference is designed to emphasise the continuity of ideas Kapitsa on international cooperation, to promote scientific relations between the Russian and European science.

The following sections will be organized. Section 1. Telecommunications and Information Technology. Wireless networks and technologies. Fiber optic networks and technologies. Software-defined network (SDN) and network virtualization functions (NFV). Data protection and network coding. Satellite Communications. Mobile satellite communications systems. Antenna technology for communication and radar systems. System monitoring near-Earth space. Simulation and situational centers. Section 2. Computer systems and networks. Modern architectural solutions, software, tools, and technology design and development of computer systems and networks, supercomputers, microprocessor-based systems, specialized calculators, FPGA neurochips, memristor, data centers and technology Big Data, cloud computing, enterprise and digital production. Section 3. Application of telecommunications and computing systems in the study of the shelf and the World Ocean. Geophysical methods and hardware-software systems for prospecting, exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons optimization offshore world ocean, specialized ships and the newest equipment for seismic surveys, electrical, seabed mapping, engineering studies, environmental monitoring offshore equipped modern information and communication systems, computing methods and algorithms for solving direct and inverse geophysical problems, the organization of high-performance computing, real-time control technology. Section 4. Education modern engineering standards based on CDIO. Methodology, architecture and practice of building a new generation of educational systems engineering and physical-technical orientation, focused on the requirements of CDIO. Applying the latest digital and communication technologies to conduct educational activities.
