活动简介

On behalf of International Workshop on Superconducting Sensors and Detectors organizing committee (IWSSD2014), it is our privilege to invite you to the 2nd IWSSD Workshop, Nov 5-8, 2014, in Shanghai, CHINA! We are honored to host this event, for the first time, and look forward to welcoming our friends and colleagues from the world. Superconducting sensors and detectors are becoming very important in the field of superconducting electronics with both conventional and high Tc superconductors, since they play an important role in a wide range research and development scenes, for example, quantum information, analytical instrumentation, synchrotron radition, mineral exploration, security, astronomy, etc. In addition, considering the diversity of applications and business chances, Iec and IEEE are initiating a cooperative plan for international standards.. However, there are no specific conferences/workshops covering all of these correlated topics, though some topics appear in the conferences like Applied Superconducting Conference (ASC), European Conference on Applied Superconductivity (EUCAS), International Superconducting Electronics Conference (ISEC), and International Workshop on Low Temperature Detectors (LTD). The theme of IWSSD is to exchange latest research results and information on superconducting sensors, detectors and their applications. Other related topics including superconducting readout circuits, superconducting quantum bit and cryogenics for sensors and detectors are also warmly welcomed. Chaired by Dr. Yong-Hamb KIM (KRISS, Korea) and Dr. Masataka OHKUBO (AIST, Japan), the first IWSSD was successfully held in Dajeon, Korea Dec 12-15, 2012. 52researchers and scientists from 5 countries attended the workshop. We are going to hold the second IWSSD in Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). SIMIT, is a multidisciplinary institute engaged in both fundamental and applied researches. There are around 40 researchers in the field of superconductivity. Current major research includes: novel superconductor materials, superconducting sensors, detectors and superconducting electronic applications. While attending IWSSD2014 in Shanghai, we hope that you feel completely at home and know more about Shanghai and China. We hope that you will take the opportunity to socialize and network with new acquaintances, and build upon those relationships which have already been established to sustain our collaboration. The Homepage of IWSSD2014 (http://iwssd2014.csp.escience.cn ) will be available by the end of Mar. 2014, and you may find all the information of the workshop on the website. We express the warmest welcome to all participants to IWSSD2014. Please visit SIMIT, CAS at Shanghai, China.
