This international annual conference has provided a unique platform to promote advanced information and communication technologies. Previous six conferences were successfully held in China (Shenzhen, Wuhan), France, Singapore and Taiwan. The conference proceedings were published by IEEE and included in IEEE Xplore database. IEEE/ICAIT 2014 will be organized and hosted by Fujian Normal University. The conference proposal was discussed and approved by the 6th IEEE /ICAIT which was held in Hsinchu, Taiwan in July 2013 (IEEE catalog number: CFP13ICQ-ART/ISBN:978-1-4799-0465-5). IEEE/ICAIT 2014 will continue to focus on optical communication, fiber technologies, wireline and wireless technology, mobile network technology, multimedia processing, management and transmission, and satellite communications and networking. For the first time, this conference will also include topics on biomedical photonics and telemedicine.
