Building on the success of the previous three workshops on Oxy-fuel FBC Technology held at the University of Ottawa in 2011, the University of Stuttgart, and in Ponferradina as a special session in OCC3, respectively, Southeast University is proud to announce it is hosting the 4th workshop in Nanjing, the capital city of six dynasties in ancient China. The workshop will be held from November 5th to 7th, 2014, a gorgeous season in Nanjing City. Ciuden’s success on completing the full CO2 Capture process using the 30 MW oxy-CFB technology is an encouraging milestone on the development of this technology. At the same time, lots of scientific and application issues are worthwhile to further study, for example, air leakage, emission, corrosion, scaling up, etc. Further, the related new schemes such as calcium-looping combustion, pressurized oxy-fuel FBC combustion and chemical looping for oxygen production have gained more and more interests. Workshop topics will include results from experiments and simulations as well as approaches to process design, scale-up and other challenges. We do think people want to share their latest finding in the area. The topics include but not limit to above issues.
